If We See Through Illusion of This Physical Plane, We Can Easily Forgive, Let Go of Attachments, and Be Happy

And now we have a heartline from Kevin in the United States:

Dear Master, I’m really beginning to feel my spiritual growth. In the past, even minor inconveniences would fill me with stress and anxiety. Now, things that would have once devastated me barely faze me. For instance, I recently lost US$60,000 in an investment. Then, a hurricane caused severe flooding in my home, destroying everything – kitchen appliances, furniture, and even the walls had to be torn out. It was a massive amount of work. Yet, I remained calm.

It’s not because I have endless wealth, but because I trust in God’s plan. Maybe that money wasn’t meant for me, or perhaps God has something else in store. Of course, I have brief moments of stress, but 99.9% of the time, I feel at peace. This is a drastic change from the past, when the smallest things would make me angry, and I would lash out at those around me. Now, I have less money but far more inner peace. I had my own plans, but I’m learning to align myself with God’s plans instead.

Interestingly, when the hurricane hit, I was reading the Book of Job. That timing helped me stay calm. Later, as I got busy with repairs, I stopped reading the Bible, deciding to restart in January. On January 1, more financial losses came – both from another investment and new government policies affecting our home. Yet again, I was back in the Book of Job. This time, I read it with even greater focus and discovered new insights that kept me steady. Through my child’s preparation for full initiation, we also read “God Takes Care of Everything.” It was a reminder that the greatest treasure isn’t material wealth but spiritual enlightenment.

I know I’m not the best disciple. My progress has been slow, and I’ve doubted so many times. Yet, despite my shortcomings, I feel blessed by this transformation within me – the ability to stay calm through difficult times. What once felt like disasters now seems insignificant. After all, we are just passing through this life. I’m sorry for my slow growth and for not representing these teachings as I should have. But I am deeply grateful for Your patience. Thank You. Kevin from the United States

Patient Kevin, Thank you for your heartline.

Master has a kind reply just for you: “Tranquil Kevin, so glad to hear about your progress, and how you steadily continue the Homeward Journey, relying on the Quan Yin Meditation Way! It is no small thing to be able to weather the storms of life and remain calm without doubt at times. You have made good advancement on the spiritual path. You are right, we are just passing through this world. The Buddha said, ‘All virtue lies in detachment.’ This is true, for if we see through the illusion of this physical plane, we can easily forgive, let go of attachments, and be happy. When we think this realm is real, and this is all there is, then we grasp at everything and become tense, angry, afraid, insecure, etc. This is what Lord Jesus was referring to when He said, “For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it.” It is good that you have discovered parts of what true life is. Continue to practice well to come ever nearer to God. May you and the exuberant people of the United States find the peace that surpasses understanding in your daily lives. Love you forever!”
