After a long-running campaign by the Ministry of Defense’s Vegan and Vegetarian Network, the United Kingdom’s Royal Air Force now supplies service personnel with vegan uniforms. According to internal documents seen by the British newspaper The Telegraph, in addition to attire, ethical vegans can ask for suitable boots, belts, and berets. A request can be made to inform the chain of command that due to their beliefs, a member would prefer not to wear clothing or accessories derived from animal-people. Vegan items must meet safety standards before being presented to the station warrant officer, who then signs off on it.
Congratulations, Ministry of Defence’s Vegan and Vegetarian Network, on your successful campaign to have vegan uniforms and accessories. May all UK service personnel have first-class vegan uniforms and equipment to comfortably fulfill their duties, in Celestial peace.
Supreme Master Ching Hai (vegan): “Gratefully present the Wise-Governance Shining World Leadership Award to the UK government’s AIR FORCE and all involved, for this rare achievement of an unexpected compassionate deed, with wholehearted Love and a high-esteemed salute. It’s pure, joyful news for the whole country and the world. A glorious example for all benevolent Leaders to reconsider this mercy-filled action as humans must reclaim their own real Heavenly quality of wisdom and nobility... ‘As we sow, so shall we reap,’ said all great Masters. We are aware of the benefits of doing to others as what we would like to be done to ourselves. Not just humans will derive immense merit, the whole animal world-people will bless and praise your merciful souls. UK’s 1-year karma-exemption might be further extended by the Grace of United Trinity. Pray so be.”
