In today’s news, Kuwait provides relief aid to Sudan, new international study links polar vortex shifts to climate effects, South Korea to develop cruelty-free drug testing, Spain launches reforestation project to capture tons of carbon dioxide, woman in New Jersey, USA, spends decades saving baby terrapins from storm drains, Bali, Indonesia emerges as vegan food haven, and heroic Canadian canoeists rescue drowning young horse-person.

Here is a good tip for child development! Early exposure to natural outdoor spaces supports development of both attention and emotional fluency in young children. A study by the University of Illinois found that toddlers who had access to trees, outdoor toys, or a simple sandbox before the age of two showed improved attention by age four. Children growing up on farms or in homes with porches also showed better emotional control at that stage. Experts suggest simple additions like planting a tree, adding a sandbox, placing chairs on a porch, or regularly spending time outdoors with children. These changes help create an enriching environment that supports both mental and physical development during the early years.

Here comes some merry amusement courtesy of the joke of the day. It’s called “Kid Logic.”

Little Eric asked his mom at the dinner table:

“Mom! Where does corn oil come from?”

“Obviously, corn oil comes from corn.”

“Then where does baby oil come from?”

???

And now we have a heartline from Renata in Argentina
