In Supreme Master Ching Hai International Association Relief News from South Korea…
Motivated by the ever-present Love and Compassion of our Beloved Supreme Master Ching Hai (vegan), our South Korean Association members offered care and comfort to both humans and animal-individuals in need during the winter of 2024-2025.
On November 9, 2024, our Seoul Association members brought necessities to those without shelter outside the Seoul Station, where they distributed vegan instant noodles, bottled water, vegan drinks, toothbrushes, toothpaste, socks, Alternative Living flyers, and Master’s book, “Love is the Only Solution.” This was accompanied by the uplifting broadcast of Supreme Master Television.
On November 22, 2024, our Association members in Daejeon offered winter relief supplies to homeless individuals at Daejeon Station and nearby underground shopping areas. Each package contained a sleeping bag, thermal blanket, insulating mat, socks, neck warmers, hand warmers, vegan instant noodles, vegan snacks, and drinks. The recipients were grateful for the timely aid, and our Association members worked late into the night to make sure they reached all who were most in need.
On November 30, 2024, our Association members delivered 1,000 coal briquettes to elderly residents in Hupyeong-dong District of Chuncheon city, many of whom live alone and struggle due to rising heating costs. The team efficiently transported and stacked a supply of briquettes that would ensure their warmth throughout the winter. The recipients expressed their heartfelt appreciation.
On January 12, 2025, our Association members conducted a cleanup activity at Aegiso Valley in Buk-gu, Busan, where they contributed to environmental preservation, and helping maintain the serene beauty of this beloved nature area.
Throughout January and February 2025, our Association members organized wildlife feeding trips to support animal-individuals facing food shortages during the harsh winter. On January 18 and February 8, volunteers hiked into the snow-covered Gobangsan area in Yanggu County of Gangwon Province, bringing30 kg of shelled peanuts, 20 kg of raw peanuts, and 10 kg of chestnuts, along with sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, and bread. They carefully laid out the nourishing supplies and meditated briefly, with loving wishes offered for the local animal-folk. Our Association members made two other food deliveries along quiet trails on Seongam Mountain. On January 27 and February 3, they placed apples, sweet potatoes, peanuts, and sunflower seeds to nourish wild animal- and bird-people, while also providing vegan food for stray cat-individuals. Their efforts were warmly acknowledged by hikers passing by.
Our sincere appreciation goes to our Beloved Master for Her boundless Love and guidance in all our relief activities. We also thank our South Korean Association members for their kind-hearted efforts in bringing warmth, comfort, and hope to our human and animal-person neighbors. May all beings soon live together in peace, harmony, and prosperity, in the eternal Mercy of the Buddhas.
