Here’s a helpful computer tip for you. Do you prefer using your keyboard over your mouse? Then there’s a hidden Windows shortcut to maximize your window to full screen height without having to modify the width. Just press “Win + Shift + Up Arrow.” This shortcut is ideal for reading lengthy documents or scrolling through code. You can also use your mouse and double click a window’s top or bottom border to enlarge the window’s height in Windows 7. If the shortcut isn’t working, it’s probably because this “Snap Windows” feature is turned off. Make sure it is enabled by going to Settings > System > Multitasking. Next, turn the Snap windows switch to “on.” Now, you shouldn’t have trouble with either the double-click method or the shortcut.
