In today’s news, Singapore contributes funds to strengthen international carbon markets. Global ocean study confirms sea levels rising twice as fast, Spanish coastal city prioritizes wildlife conservation and expands urban green spaces, Seoul, South Korea promotes tap water as safe and sustainable choice, US high school students spread compassion through heartfelt letters, Swedish vegan food company joins growing Nordic distribution network, and Zambian community initiative secures safe passage for elephant-people.

I have a tip on how you can safely greet an unfamiliar dog-person. Many people instinctively hold out their hand for a dog-person to sniff, but this approach isn’t always the best way to make a first impression as it can feel intrusive and sometimes threatening for some dog-people. Shy, nervous, or fearful dog-folk may respond by backing away, growling, or snapping if they feel uncomfortable. Rather than forcing an interaction, It’s important to let them set the pace and choose whether they want to engage. Before approaching any unfamiliar dog-person, always ask for their caretaker’s permission. Remain calm and relaxed. Approach slowly, speak in a calm voice, and avoid abrupt movements. Standing or crouching slightly to the side instead of facing them directly can help you appear less intimidating. Allow the dog-person to approach you if they feel comfortable. By giving them the opportunity to come to you on their own terms, you’re respecting their boundaries and helping them feel more at ease. If the dog-person approaches and appears relaxed, you can offer gentle affection. By following these steps, you can help create a safer, more positive introduction for both you and the dog-individual.

A laughter session has now officially begun with the joke of the day. It’s called, “Battery Saver.”

Paul and Nancy were chatting during their coffee break.

“I tried saving my phone battery today.”

“How?”

“I stopped using my phone.”

“That kind of defeats the purpose. Doesn’t it?”

“Maybe. But the battery life is incredible!”

?!

And now we have a heartline from Lena in Toronto, Canada
