Dear Supreme Master Ching Hai, Recently, I heard You mention that someone used dark magic to harm You. I believe they will face severe karmic consequences, possibly even falling into hell. Even when using magic to heal, we interfere with the law of karma, making us pay a spiritual price. If such powers are used to harm others, the consequences are even more severe.
Before practicing the Quan Yin Method, I once studied magic, achieving the rank of “master.” For instance, once, a young girl in my neighborhood was possessed, running wildly everywhere. Although she was small, others could not restrain her; even large adults who tried were thrown off. But I only had to draw a talisman, recite a mantra, and blow in her direction, and she suddenly fell unconscious. When she woke up, she was back to normal and remembered nothing. I kept this incident to myself. I generally only used magic power to treat minor ailments, like dislocations or boils, and never to harm anyone.
In 2019, when I came across Your teachings, “The Key of Immediate Enlightenment,” I prayed that if You were indeed a living Buddha, I would receive some sign to believe. That night, my room glowed with an aura and emitted a mysterious fragrance unlike anything I had ever known. From then on, I decided to abandon my magic power and applied to become Your disciple, joyful at having found a way out of the Three Realms.
All true practitioners of Yours carry a “selfless magic power” within them – doing without doing, unaware of their actions. For example, there was an initiate who had a severe accident, appearing lifeless at the scene, but was rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery. When fellow initiates came, wanting to donate blood, he miraculously revived. He recounted that when the accident happened, his soul had left his body, and he could see his body lying there but couldn’t re-enter it. When the initiates arrived, he saw each of them radiating Light, and their Lights merged into a huge Light, helping to push his soul back into his body. They saved him without even realizing it.
Master, You truly are the Greatest Enlightened Master. I am deeply grateful that You accepted me as Your disciple. Your disciple, Thiện Nhân from Âu Lạc (Vietnam)

Master has some words for you: “Wise Thiện Nhân, thank you for your uplifting heartline, which makes me soo glad. It is good and so wise that you gave up practicing magic for enlightenment. The costs of performing magic far outweigh its benefits. Also, magic, as you have discovered, is not nearly as effective for assisting others as being enlightened is. The true meaning of doing without doing is letting the inner Light do all the work through us without any interference from our ego and without incurring karma, as magic does. Instead of being bound to the Three Worlds by using magic, we are liberated from them and are also more helpful to others. The inner Master is far more powerful than the ego, which uses magic recklessly. Enlightenment should be the number one priority of everyone on this planet because it makes life so much better in this world, and even more in the next. It is wonderful that you found your deserved way! May you and the kindly Aulạcese (Vietnamese) people experience the infinite Love of the Buddhas in your daily lives. Love you forever, good soul!”
