In this episode, Supreme Master Ching Hai explains that meditation is meant to reinforce enlightenment and to rise higher and higher in consciousness. Master also explains the importance of maintaining a vegan lifestyle, which was what GOD intended for humans.
(“What happens to the ego after enlightenment? And what is the relationship between meditation and enlightenment?”) (“What happens to the ego after the enlightenment, and what is the relationship between meditation and enlightenment?”) The ego will be less and less with the higher and higher level of enlightenment. And the meditation is to reinforce the enlightenment, and to rise higher and higher in consciousness.
(“What does the meditation method consist of? Why is it necessary to be vegan? Didn’t GOD give us teeth, organs to digest [animal-people] meat and hunt? We simply need to give thanks for everything GOD has given us so that we can survive in any situation.”) (“What does the method of meditation [consist of]? And why is it necessary to be vegan? GOD has given us teeth and other organs to digest [animal-people] meat and has given us the possibility of hunting, so we have to say “Thank You” to GOD for everything that HE has given us in order to survive in each situation.”) In what situation? (In every situation.) Oh. Yes.
GOD has given us everything else already. And HES said HES created animal(-people) to befriend us, and we may rule over them. HES did not say we may eat them. You read the New Testament again, first page.
GOD said, “I have created all kinds of fruits in the garden, all kinds of vegetables in the field, which are pleasant to the eyes and tasty to the palate; these shall be your food.”
GOD also said that HES created all kinds of beings, and all kinds of food for each kind of being.
The Bible also said, “Be you not among wine drinkers and (animal-people) meat eaters.”
The Bible also said, “Eat you not the food that makes your brothers stumble and fall.”
The Bible also said that GOD was angry with the people at that time, and HES said, “Who told you to kill all these she-bullock(-people) and [the] he-sheep(-people) to make offerings to me? Your hands are full of blood. Wash yourself and repent your sins, so that I will forgive you. Otherwise, I will turn my head away when you pray, because your hand is full of innocent blood.”
The Bible says many more things, but you know better, so I’ll stop here.
(“Why, after initiation, is it no longer possible to practice meditation based on breathing?”) (“Why, after initiation, is it no longer possible to practice meditation based on breathing?”) Because this – the breathing – is not GOD HIRMSELF. It is a little part of GOD’s gift for the function of the body. But if you want to know GOD, you don’t have to rely on any physical instrument whatsoever, because GOD is GOD. Just be quiet, the way I told you, and then HES appears. GOD should be present all the time, whether you’re breathing or not breathing. So we cannot rely on ephemeral things to find GOD. OK.
(“At what level of consciousness does the plant kingdom exist? I start from the premise that I am part of nature, just as a plant is. Is there a physical way to present oneself to GOD?”) (“The vegetable kingdom, at which level is this kingdom? Which level of consciousness?”) They also have very... Is that finished? (No. This person starts from the idea that he is part of nature, like a plant.) He is a plant himself? (No, that he’s part of nature.) Part of also, yes.
(And he also wants to know if there is a physical position to propose ourselves to GOD? Physical position? (Physical.) No. No. No. No need.
We and GOD are both not physical. So there’s no need to kneel, to stand on one leg or one hand, or whatever. Just be normal. I’ll show you. But most of the people, when they meditate, they like to sit cross-legged, because, like that, it’s more balanced. They don’t fall asleep so fast. And they like to sit on [the] floor; in case they fall, they don’t fall very far. But these are just tips, like how to’s, but it’s not the true meditation. True meditation comes when you sleep, when you stand, when you eat, when you wash your dishes – anywhere. Actually, after a while, it’s like that. It’s natural. You’ll be in the presence of GOD, 24 hours. You can see GOD while driving, even. Yeah.
What kind of level is the vegetable? (The first question. Yes.) Yes. Vegetables also have a little consciousness, but it’s fairly neutral. They are not so heavy and full of fear like animal(-people). In fact, sometimes after some meditation, you can even know what the plants want. They even invite you to eat them. But, before we take anything from nature, of course, we ask permission from GOD and give thanks.
The vegetables, we can eat because, suppose you cut a piece of a flower here, it grows another three tomorrow or next week. And you cut a piece of a potato, and you leave the other half and you plant it, it will grow again. A vegetable continues its life.
If you cut the head of a pig(-person), it won’t grow another two. (Sorry, can You repeat it because…) If you cut the head of a pig(-person), it will not grow another two heads.
(“How do you fight demons? And by ‘demons,’ I mean the dark ideas we have in our minds – thoughts created by people who lack the clarity that comes with the beginning of enlightenment from the very first moment of contact.”) (“How do we fight demons? And by the word ‘demons,’ I mean the dark ideas that we have in our minds, and that are thoughts created by people who do not have the clarity of initiation – of an enlightenment – since the very first moment of contact.”)
Of course, after enlightenment, or if you think you are enlightened, or even if you think you are not enlightened, nor [are] you truly not enlightened, it is better to be aware of the company that you keep, so that you don’t have a darker influence. And the people, at the time of initiation – our people – we also teach them how to protect themselves. That’s why it takes some time; otherwise, the enlightenment – to see GOD – is very fast, seconds.
And after initiation, we still continue to send you some information until you are fully awakened yourself. And if you still have some questions and need answers, you still can find me, write to me, or come see me when we organize some gatherings for questions and answers, and things like that. I also send my representatives all over the world every time to answer your questions and to help you. All these are free of charge. You never ever have to pay anything at all.
