Previously in Parts 1 and 2 of this three-part series on Kim Keel’s near-death experience, Kim described overdosing and finding herself in an unfamiliar desert. Beside a barn, she saw Lord Jesus Christ (vegetarian) appearing as a child and teaching a group of men. A warning stopped her from stepping into outer darkness, and she turned to face Him, now appearing as an adult. Although she feared He would send her to hell, He smiled, offered forgiveness, and told her she would teach His word. Through His touch, Kim felt overwhelming love and the pain He experiences when His children reject Him. Now, in Part 3, Kim shares more of what Lord Jesus Christ showed her and how its meaning unfolded years later.
He directed her attention back to the men who had been listening to Him beside the barn. They were now gathered in front of it, trying to interpret the Bible among themselves. He told Kim that His own people did not know His word. And He said, “Watch.” And He pointed over there to where those men were sitting around in a circle. They had the Bible. He said, “They’re trying to understand My word without the help of the Holy Spirit.” And I looked, and they were talking to each other, “What do you think this means? What is this?” And their hands went up. Kim says Lord Jesus Christ explained that the men had voted unanimously to accept their own interpretation of His word. Without the Holy Spirit’s guidance, their conclusions would become destructive doctrines passed down through generations. He then showed her a vast crowd beyond the fence— people who believed they were Christians, yet whom she understood were being denied entry into Heaven.
And I saw all those people screaming and hollering about, “Let me in. I belong there.” And He’s like, “I don’t know you.” And I was like, “Oh, my goodness.” Kim understood this as a warning that calling oneself a Christian was not enough without a relationship with Lord Jesus Christ. She says He showed her that this relationship was missing from many churches. Amid religions and denominations divided over beliefs and practices, He asked where their relationship with Him was. During their encounter, Lord Jesus Christ gave Kim a purpose for her bold voice. He’s like, “Kim, use it for My Glory, girl. Go bring people to this barn. And when you get them in there, teach them my word.”
As the encounter came to an end, Lord Jesus Christ urged Kim to change her life. He gave me a shove. “Give your life to me. Go live for me.” And I came up throwing up. As Kim regained awareness, her husband was beside her, trying to help her up. She exclaimed that she had just seen Lord Jesus Christ and been with Him. [My] oldest sister, the next day after that, called me on the phone. She didn’t know what I had done. She said, “Kim, I don’t know what you’re doing with your life.” She said, “But you need to fix it.” She said, “Because I had a dream last night. You were burning in hell.”
Despite the experience, Kim did not understand how to act on what she had been told. She pushed it aside for 16 years and sank deeper into drugs. In April 2020, around the time of her mother’s death, she woke one morning to a strong scent she associated with Lord Jesus Christ (vegetarian) and had known since childhood. She took it as reassurance that He would help her. After her mother’s death, she also became estranged from her siblings and felt alone. She nearly ended her life again in her front yard but thought of her grandchildren and asked GOD for help. She gave her life to HIM and says HE taught her forgiveness.
Kim then began to understand the symbols from her near-death experience. The desert represented her life, the sawdust her spiritual emptiness, and the fence her sins, which Lord Jesus Christ told her to tear down. The barn represented her calling to bring people to Him and teach His word. I go out there, and I’m out there every day, just hollering out there, y’all, with urgency. So much urgency, because He’s coming soon. He’s coming soon, y’all. (Touching The Afterlife YouTube channel - Thank you)
